There are four (4) Frontend groups available: Registered - This group allows the user to login to the Frontend interface. Author - This group allows a user to post content, usually via a link in the User Menu. Editor - This group allows a user to post and edit any content item from the Frontend. Publisher - This group allows a user to post, edit and publish any content item from the Frontend. There are three (3) Administration section groups that allow access to the Joomla:
Manager- This group allows access to content creation and system information. Administration Menus accessed:
- Help (general), including System Info.
- Site: Media Manager, Preview.
- Menu: Edit existing Menus, including creating Menu Items. All related functions.
- Content: Content Managers, Static Content Manager, Section Manager, Category Manager, FrontPage Manager and Archives Manager. All related functions.
Administrator - This group allows access to most administration functions. All functions accessed by Manager, plus:
- Site: Statistics, Trash Manager, User Manager (may create/edit/delete any type of user except SuperAdministrator; Note: as of 4.5.2.1, may also delete an other administrator пїЅbug corrected in 4.5.3.)
- Menu: Menu Manager
- Modules, Components, Mambots: Install/Uninstall, Create, Edit. Except Mass mail Component.
Super Administrator - This group allows access to all administration functions. All functions accessed by Manager and Administrator, plus:
- Site: Global Configuration, Language Manager, Template Manager, User Manager (may create/edit any type of user, may delete any user except SuperAdministrator; Note 1: SuperAdministrator may be deleted through the database; Note 2: as of 4.5.2.1, details for SuperAdministrator may be changed by another SuperAdministrator пїЅbug).
- Components: Mass Mail.
- Messages: Inbox, Configuration.
- System: Clear Cache (if Cache has been enabled in Global Configuration), Global Checkin.
